Who AM I?

Hey, it's Yanni. I am a CG generalist and FX artist and graduated with a MA degree in visual effects design at SCAD.

I'm deep into Houdini, loving the world of procedural and environmental art it opens up. As a 3D artist, my job is to gather inspiration and transform it into real visuals.

From Australia to the United States, I enjoy the various challenges that different lifestyles bring. I believe that experiencing life can bring creative thinking to work, turning work into a passion is the key to sustained and efficient output.

Through visual storytelling and conveying emotions, I find my creative drive. Hope you can feel the way of how I observe the world through my works. Cheers!

Every step of my journey has been meaningful and has shaped me into the 3D artist I am today. There have been failures, moments of regaining confidence, and reflections on my career. The one constant, however, is my love for visual effects.

Now, I am exploring Unreal Engine, aiming to integrate my experience in Houdini and Maya as I transition into the implementation of visual effects. All of my accumulated knowledge has deepened my understanding of the role of art in the market, how to balance my personal rhythm with the environment, and the constant drive to learn and grow.
